“I need somewhere to stay for the night. Id be leaving in the morning…” Adrieanne said to Kylie when she opened the door. “What do you mean? I thought you were with your dad,” Kylie replied. “Not anymore. He kicked me out,” Adrieanne said as she waited on their doorstep. “Not anymore? So where are you going?” Kylie asked. They had been best friends for years, she didn’t think that Adrieanne would just leave town. “I don’t know. I’ll find somewhere to go,” Adrieanne replied. That wasn’t a lie. She had no plan. Maybe she’d go to Europe, be her own hero. How was she going to get to Europe? Scrap that idea. “I think we have an extra room if you need somewhere to stay for a while. Until your dad tries to get you back…” Kylie explained. “I guess. Your dad won’t tell him I’m here?” Adrieanne asked “I mean, I could probably find a really good hiding spot if you really don’t want him to know…” Kylie said. She was always great at hiding. “Ok, Let me just text my dad real quick. So he knows I can live without his help,” Adrieanne said ready to rub it in his face. Miss_America is typing… Miss_America: Hey. I just wanted to let you know I found somewhere to stay and that I don’t need your help. It just sucks not having your only daughter there doesn’t it. I said you would regret it. You failed as a parent and I’m not coming back. See you never. - Adrieanne. TheOrigionalCap1941 is typing… TheOrigionalCap1941: Adrieanne May Rogers you get back to this house now. You think you can just leave and avoid the consequences of your actions, but you can’t. I’ll find out where you are eventually. You’ll see. Miss_America is typing… Miss_America: Good luck. TheOrigionalCap1941 is typing… TheOrigionalCap1941: Oh, I don’t need good luck. I have my resources. Miss_America is typing… Miss_America: Whatever dad. “I don’t know who he thinks he is,” Adrieanne said rolling her eyes. “He’s your dad…”Kylie replied. “I think if he actually cared he would’ve listened to what I had to say,” Adrieanne continued. “He’s also my uncle, Adrieanne. This conversation is over,” Kylie snapped. “Alright. Im sorry,” Adrieanne said realising what she had said. “Its alright,” Kylie said. “Come on in,” “Thanks for your help..,” Adrieanne said. “You’re welcome,” Kylie replied as they walked into the house. “Dad! I’m home!!” Kylie yelled up the stairs. “Great! Now you can show Adrieanne to her room and finish your homework!” Bucky yelled back down. “How does he already know I’m here?” Adrieanne asked in disbelief. “Because I know everything,” He replied walking through the door in front of me. Kylie showed Adrieanne to her room where she started to unpack the backpack she brought. “Does this room have a window somewhere? Never mind, I found it,” Adrieanne said opening the window. “I’ll go get you a blanket,” Kylie said as she went to the hall closet and got out a fluffy blue blanket. She walk back into the room. The next thing Adrieanne knows Kylie’s freaking out about something. “HoW dId YoU gEt OUt ThE WiNDow?” Kylie asked. “I climbed through it? Now I’m sitting on the roof. This is probably really weird for you,” Adrieanne said climbing back into the house. She grabbed the blanket from Kylie and set it on the bed. “I do that on a regular basis, so you might want to get used to it,” “Ok, you’re weirder than I originally thought…”Kylie said with a sharp exhale. “Ky, Finish your homework, this is no time to talk!” They heard Bucky yell from the other room. “Don’t worry! I’m working on it!” Kylie yelled back. “I have to go finish my homework. Ill talk to you later,” “Alright” Adrieanne said as she climbed back out the window. A couple minutes later Adrieanne heard a car pull into the driveway. “Adrieanne! I can see you sitting on the roof! Come home now!” Her dad was right outside the house now. “I ran away for a reason! Now go away!” Adrieanne replied. “No, I’ll wait outside as long as it takes,” He replied. He waited five minutes before speaking again. ”I just want my daughter home,” “Wait… What’s going on here?” Adrieanne asked. She was completely and utterly confused. “You’re right. I’ve failed as a parent. I should’ve listened and I’m really sorry,” He answered “I don't believe that... Promise you won’t punish me if I come home?” Adrieanne asked. “Promise,” He said. “Ok? I take the blame this time,” “You’re actually admitting you were wrong?” Adrieanne asked. “Let’s not talk about who’s right and wrong,” He said. “Fine” Adrieanne said with a blank face. “So you guys made up?” Bucky said walking into the room. “I knew you would…” “Wait…” Adrieanne said. She looked at him and everything clicked into place... “Did you call him?” “Well…” Bucky said. “You know what? Im leaving. Don’t expect me back. Ever,” Adrieanne snapped. “Whatever you say…” Bucky replied as he left the room. She climbed off the roof and got into her dads car. “Its not their fault you know…” Steve said when she got in the car. “I know,” Adrieanne said as they pulled out of the driveway. “Let me text Kylie so she knows I’m not actually mad,” Miss_America is typing… Miss_America: You know I’m not mad right?
